Very belatedly I'd like to offer Steve my condolences for Nancy's death, which I just found out about by googling for Steve Gorbics himself. Frankly, over the years we lost contact, with their being retired in far-away cold Shelby, MI, and we still in the high-pressure DC area. We enjoyed getting their Christmas cards and seeing Nancy's baskets, but that petered out after awhile. I did keep in contact with Mary Austin, Nancy's fiend, who ended up at (surprise) at NRL where Steve worked for so long. Now finding out about Nancy's death recalls, again, "memento mori".

My deepest sympathies to all of you. Nan was so talented. I always admired her baskets that she made for the Celebration of the Trees each year. What a lovely lady.

Steve and family, our sincere condolences in the death of Nan. Skip has expressed many fond memories with Nan during his early life in Piqua and New Breman.
Cherish those many memories that Nan provided over her many years as they will provide comfort in her passing. God ve with you.

My deepest sympathies, Steve, to you and your family......Nancy had such a lovely sense of humor and we shared much laughter together each time she came into the Library. Her artistic gifts were numerous and are treasured for their simple beauty. May you all find peace and healing in your hearts.
