Steven Youngstrom Obituary

Steven Paul Youngstrom was born on May 27, 1955 to Ervin & Carolee Youngstrom. Steve left for his heavenly home in the arms of Jesus on March 3rd, 2022. He was born and raised in Hart.


Steve was a 3 sport athlete in high school, earning All State Honors in baseball and All State Honorable Mention in basketball. He especially enjoyed watching U of M teams. Steve also spent some time coaching girls softball and basketball. To all who knew him he was a really great guy.


Steve is survived by: his mother Carolee Youngstrom (Hart); sister, Joan (Ken) Gerwig; brother, Scot (Kim) Youngstrom; his nieces and nephews, Anne Gerwig, Mary Fountain, Ken (Mindy) Gerwig, Dylan Youngstrom, Garrett (Emily) Youngstrom, Demi (Mike) Youngstrom; great nieces and nephews, Landon, Sophia and Hannah Gerwig, Coen and Evan Fountain and Blaikelee Youngstrom; many aunts, uncles and cousins.


Steve was preceded in death by: his father, Ervin Youngstrom, grandparents, Axel and Dagmar Youngstrom, Andrew and Carrie Reames.


Cremation has taken place. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made the Hart Congregational United Church of Christ, 408 S State Street, Hart MI 49420.


The Harris Funeral Home of Shelby, is in charge of arrangements.
