Sharon A. Martin, 77, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2023. She was born March 9, 1945, the daughter of J. Robert and Mary Jane (Watt) Martin.
Sharon’s repertoire ranged greatly, from the Bowling Green Colorado Beauty Queen, and Miss Ohio’s first runner up, to being involved with the Ferry School Board. Sharon had a free spirit; she found joy and beauty in everyday situations, and people she came across. She had a passion for introducing children to the world of theater, Sharon used her connection to the children of the community to grow their creative side. She was a talented artist who loved to share her artwork.
The Native American art and spirit was something she held very close. Sharon had a teepee she would put up every spring to enjoy with her granddaughters. She spent as much time with her granddaughters as possible, Sharon adored them. When Sharon wasn’t with her girls, spending time in her teepee, or creating art, you could find her playing bridge, whether it was her weekly group of eight that traveled to each other's homes or at the Oceana Council on Aging.
Sharon is survived by her husband, William House; sons, Jacob House, and Levi House; sister, Gail Martin; brother, Phil Martin, and granddaughters, Lola, Winnie and Chloe.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, J. Robert and Mary Jane Martin; and brother, Lynn Martin.
