Salustio Beltran, age 65, of New Era, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 in Grand Rapids. He was born September 14, 1955 in La Magdalena, Mexico, the son of Telesforo and Augustina Beltran.
Salustio was born and raised in Mexico and came to the United States in 1978 and lived in Chicago. He later moved to West Michigan and lived in New Era the past nine years. He worked at Peterson Farms for thirteen years.
He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Beltran; his children, Francisco (Claudia) Beltran and their children, Anthony, Dominick and Alexander Beltran; Martin (Isabel) Beltran and their children, Ximena, Axel and Martin, Jr. Beltran; Maria (Victor) Rodriguez and their children, Victoria, Alexa and Victor M. Rodriguez; Mario (Sandra) Beltran and their children, Sabrina Beltran, Ricardo Fernandez, Mario Beltran, Jr., Ulysses Beltran and Uriel Beltran; and Teresa (Michael) Birkman and their daughter, Sophia Birkman. He is also survived by his siblings, Rigoberto (Marta) Beltran, Adelina Beltran, Antonia (Bernave) Beltran, Ismaela (Tomas) Beltran and Jose (Isabel) Beltran. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Reyna Beltran.
The funeral mass will be held, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11 am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Shelby. Visitation will be private. Interment will be in New Era Cemetery in the spring.
