Ruth Eilene James Obituary
Ruth Eilene James, 79, formerly of Shelby, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024. She was born September 28, 1944, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Albert and Gretta (VandenBerg) James.
Ruth graduated from Shelby High School before moving to Grand Rapids. She worked at American Seating and Country Fresh Dairy. Ruth loved her animals, creating beautiful hooked rugs and traveling.
Ruth is survived by: her brother Roger James of Freesoil; sister, Lois James of Grand Rapids; 15 nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by: her parents, Albert and Gretta; brothers, Albert James Jr. and Gerald James.
Cremation has taken place; no services are scheduled at this time.
Harris Funeral Home, in Shelby, is in charge of arrangements.
