It is with great sadness that we announce Roy D. Lee, age 74, of Whitehall, MI, husband of Linda Lee passed away on July 13, 2024.  Our family takes comfort in knowing Roy is with the Lord.

Roy was born on April 29, 1950, in Marks, Mississippi, a son of the late Sidney Edward Lee and Sydney Louise Jones Lee.

Roy was a hard-working patriotic man who loved God, family, and country.  He started out working for John G. Yerington Construction as a union operator, years later he ended up with family operating an oil lease business in Texas. Then he and brother Jerry worked for Waste Management installing gas lines for years. His final job was back to running heavy equipment a job that he was amazing at, he retired from Hallack Contracting of Hart, MI.  Roy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved playing golf, tennis, basketball, and softball in his younger years. His yard was one of the things that he took pride in and kept it looking great.

Roy loved his wife Linda of 51 years and all his family. He was a wonderful father figure to Kelly Bowlin and Danielle Jacobs. He was also Papa Roy to Kelly's daughter Mya. He had enough love to be shared. He will be missed every day. Roy's three dogs Ginger, Lilly and Howie were a huge part of his life, and he loved them dearly.

Roy is survived by his wife Linda, his daughters Lisa Lee Butler (Vance), Michelle Lee Cross (Bill), Grandchildren Sydney and Vance Butler, Greyson, and Emmett Cross.  Roy's sisters Kathy Berry, Caroline Krugler, and France Gill.

Preceded in death by his brothers James Lee, Gerald Lee; sisters Peggy Fugatt and Maggie Watkins.
