Rodney Joe Zaverl, of Fowlerville, formerly of Shelby Michigan, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 18th, age 60.
Rod was born June 28th, 1959 to Joe and Joyce (Purdy) Zaverl. He graduated from Shelby High School and spent most of his life as an over the road truck driver. Rod was an avid baseball fan and the Chicago Cubs were his favorite team. The love of his life was his grandson Cole.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Nicole; son, Derek (Corey) Zaverl; mother, Joyce Zaverl; brothers, Terry (Carol) Deneke and Andrew (Jessica) Zaverl; grandson, Cole Zaverl; brother-in-law, Bob Evans; nieces and nephews, Amanda (Mike) Gearhart, Lindsay Evans, Mitchel (Angel) Zaverl, Marcie Ross, Luke Conroy, Hailey Harvitt, Saylor Zaverl; stepmother, Jean Zaverl; several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and his three beloved MinPins.
Rodney was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Joe Zaverl, sister Sally Evans, and brother Bradley Zaverl.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Final interment will be next to his brother Bradley in Hart Cemetery.
