STRAHL, MR. ROBERT H. Whitehall
 
Rob passed into the Lord's arms on Tues. May 15, 2012. He was born Sept. 8, 1960 at Shelby Hospital to Robert and Donna Strahl. Rob graduated from Montague High School in 1978. He then attended Michigan Tech and earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He went on to earn a Masters in Business Administration degree from Grand Valley State.
 
Rob worked as an engineer at Howmet, at General Dynamics Land Systems on military vehicles and at Rolls Royce on jet engines. The highlight of his career was working at NASA in Houston on projects that included a water purification system for the space shuttle and a docking system for the moon. He delighted in meeting the astronauts.
 
Rob enjoyed the outdoors, walking, jogging, bicycling, and a one time was a diver. He enjoyed cooking and his family enjoyed his sumptuous meals.
 
Rob will be sorely missed by his parents, Robert and Donna Strahl; his sister, Robin DeHoff; his nephews, Dannie DeHoff and Dustin DeHoff; and his beloved cat, Sherbert, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
 
Visitation is Fri. 10 am to 11 am with the funeral service to follow at 11 am at Ferry Memorial Reformed Church in Montague. Memorials to Pound Buddies or The Noah Project are appreciated.
