Mr. Robert Leroy Isley, 87, of Shelby, passed away, Sunday, December 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born March 26, 1935 in Shelby, the son of George and Flossie (Crothers) Isley.

Robert married Betty Leutzinger on July 2, 1954.  He lived his entire life on the family farm in Blooming Valley, which was part of the original Isley homestead from the mid 1800's.  Robert retired from S.D. Warren, where he was a millwright.  Nothing gave him more joy than spending time with his family.  Robert loved camping, hunting and riding his motorcycle.

Robert was greatly loved and will be terribly missed. 

Robert is survived by: his loving wife of 68 years, Betty; children, Laurie James, Ed (Karen) Isley, Tami (Roger) Kokx, Tim (Deb) Isley, Kathy (Mike) Miller; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Mary Wesley.

Robert was preceded in death by: daughter, Connie Isley, his parents, George and Flossie Isley; sisters, Kitty (Harold) Houseman, Sadie (Lester) Osborn, Opal (Harry) Weaver; brothers, William Isley, Harold (Ruth) Isley; brother-in-law, Vestel Wesley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at New Era Reformed Church, 4775 First Street, New Era, Michigan 49446, With Pastor Tom Kragt officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1 pm until the start of services, Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at New Era Reformed Church.
