Michael "Mike" F. Machovsky

          Michael “Mike” Francis Machovsky, 57, died of complications from ALS, Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Mercy Health Mercy Campus in Muskegon.  He was born May 14, 1963, in Shelby, the son of Jerome and Leona (Hartman) Machovsky.

          Mike was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Rothbury.  One of his favorite things to do was spending time out in the sun.  He also loved helping his family and friends whenever he could. 

          Mike is survived by: his sister, Joanne Converse of Montague; his nephew, Marcus Machovsky of Montague; his nieces, Amanda (Bill) Kowal of Grand Rapids, and Hilary (Darren) Long of Seattle, Washington; and six great-nieces and a great-nephew, Kennidi Kowal, Josilyn Kowal, Luke Kowal, Lauren Kowal, Lucy Kowal, Blake Long and Eviana Long.

          Mike was preceded in death by: his parents; his sister, Denise in infancy; his brothers, Robert Jerome Machovsky, Ronald J. Machovsky and Jerome James Machovsky; and his beloved four-legged companion, Rufus.

          Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Rothbury.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions and concerns, the family will not be having visitation prior to Mass.  Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Cemetery.

Mike’s family is thankful he was able to be an organ donor and give the gift of life to others.
