Mr. Michael "Mike" Labiotka passed away February 28,2022. He was born July 26, 1947 to Stanley and Agatha (Nausadis) Labiotka in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Mike graduated from Central High School of Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1965.
Mike married Pauline Werner on September 17, 1989. He served in the United State Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. After his military service, Mike worked for General Motors as a tool crib manager. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, looking for Petoskey stones in northern Michigan, going fishing and playing cribbage. He and Pauline enjoyed summers, camping at Timberline campground in Beulah. Mike was active in the Wyoming Moose Lodge #763 and the American Legion Post #154.
Mike is survived by; his brother, Tom Labiotka; sister, Julieann Graham; children, Lori (Travis) Hutson, Allison Hilliker and Scott (Gale) Ripley; nieces, Jennifer (Roger) Pols, Yvonne Bultsma; nephews, Keith Graham and Nick Labiotka; several grand children and great-grandchildren; and numerous grand nieces and nephews
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, wife Pauline, and brother Richard.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM on Sunday March 6th with the service at 2:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home, 267 N. Michigan Avenue, Shelby, Michigan 49455. Burial will be in the spring. A celebration of Mike's life will follow at 4:00 PM at the Wyoming Moose Lodge #763, 2630 Burlingame Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49509.
