Marie Elaine Ackerberg, 77, of Hesperia, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, December 11, 2023.  She was born December 31, 1945, in Hart, the daughter of Clarence and Marie (Gifford) Heeg.

Marie drove bus for Hesperia Public schools for 25 years. After her retirement she enjoyed farming with her husband Jim and spending time with her family. 
  
Marie is survived by:  her children, Greg (Trena) Ackerberg, Scott (Missy) Ackerberg and Rhonda Moran; grandchildren Nick, Megan, Kayla, Collin, Truemayne, Christopher, Rayne, Garon, Alyvia, Lidia, Lliam, Hailee; great-grandchildren, Cash and Emerson; siblings, Charles (Kathy) Heeg, John (Shirley) Heeg, Meltha (Poke) Hovey.
 
Marie was preceded in death by: her parents, Clarence and Marie Heeg; brother, Clarence Heeg Jr.; husband, James Ackerberg; son, Christopher; daughter, Jamie Dee.
 
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:30 am, Wednesday December 20, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 3258 N. 72nd Avenue, Hart, Michigan 49420, with Pastor Ryan Vander Zwaag officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until the start of services at 11:30 am, Wednesday December 20, 2023 at First Baptist Church. A luncheon will be provided.
