Margaret Elizabeth Huston, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, August 26, 2024. She was born February 3, 1935, in Shelby, the daughter of Frank and Ann (Near) Woodhouse.

Margaret is survived by: her children, Michael (Pam) Huston, Mark (Barbara) Huston, and Lisa (Scott) Kidder; grandchildren, James Huston, Nicole (Brian Vander Lugt) Huston, Erica (Sean Dieno) Huston, Lauryn (Sean Kennelly) Huston, and Ashlee Kidder; great-grandchildren, Logan Huston, Alex Huston, August “Auggie” Vander Lugt, and Eli Huston-Dieno; and brother, Tom Woodhouse.

Margaret was preceded in death by:  her husband, John Huston; parents, Frank and Ann (Near) Woodhouse; brother, William Woodhouse; sisters-in-law, Viginia “Ginny” Woodhouse, and Ann Woodhouse.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Shelby Wesleyan Church, 54 North State Street, Shelby, MI 49455. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church, and interment will follow services in Mt. Hope Cemetery. A luncheon will be held after interment services at the Shelby United Church of Christ, 51 E. Third Street, Shelby, MI 49455.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Ladder Community Center, 67 N. State Street, Shelby, MI 49455 or, Shelby Wesleyan Church, 54 North State Street, Shelby, MI 49455.
