Lois K. Sullivan, age 91, of Hart, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 27, 2022. She was born November 29,1930 in Hart to Edward and Marguerite (Richmond) Schimke.

Lois graduated from Shelby High School where she meet her husband John. They were married on December 26, 1951. Lois attended West Suburban Nursing School in Chicago. She graduated with her degree as a registered nurse in 1951 and worked at several hospitals in Texas and in Michigan.

Lois enjoyed trips to Florida, Band concerts, gardening and camping. She loved collecting dishes and items for her Victorian dollhouse. She cherished spending time at our local senior center for many years and developed many close friendships there.

Lois was a member of First Baptist Church in Hart and also dearly loved the people at Calvary Baptist Church in Englewood where she spent many winters.

Lois is survived by her; son, Mark (Maryann) Sullivan; daughter, Colleen (Daniel) Riley; grandchildren, Sara (Grant) Boring, David (Sarah) Riley, Anne Riley and Andrew Riley; and great-grand-children, Landon Boring, Addison Riley, Gracie Boring, Gage Riley, Gavin Boring, Liv Riley and Emma Riley.

Lois was proceeded in death by: her husband of 69 years John; her parents; and her brother, Robert Schimke.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm, Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at First Baptist Church, 3258 N. 72nd Avenue, Hart Michigan 49420, Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1 pm at the First Baptist Church.  A coffee and cake reception will follow.  Interment will be in the Pentwater Cemetery at a later date.
