Linda Lou Stone Obituary

Linda Lou Stone, 68, of Hart, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022. She was born November 15, 1953, in Hart, the daughter of Marldean and Martha (Giddings) Smith.


Linda enjoyed reading, crafting, going to yard sales, and bird-watching, especially cardinals and hummingbirds. She had a passion for cooking, and was extraordinary at it; she was proud to pass her love of cooking onto her children.


On December 4, 1971, Linda married Theodore “Ted” Stone, and he survives her, along with their children, Theodore Stone II of Kansas City, Missouri, Chad Stone of Hart, Autumn Oliphant of Hart, and Dylan Smith of Mears; grandchildren, Phillip Stone, Isaac Oliphant, Emma Oliphant, Theodore Stone, and Paydon Stone; sister, Shirley (Gerald) Pickard; and brothers, Virgil (Gail) Smith and Jerry (Rose) Smith. Linda was preceded in death by: her parents; and brothers, Donald Smith and Larry Smith.


In accordance with Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.


The Harris Funeral Home, in Shelby, is handling arrangements.
