LeRoy "Lee" Tanner Jr. Obituary
LeRoy “Lee” Tanner Jr., 65, passed away peacefully March 16, 2026. He was born February 25, 1961, the son of LeRoy Sr. and Frieda (Fessenden) Tanner.
LeRoy “Lee” was a hardworking man who believed in keeping his hands busy and his time meaningful. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, often found from sunup to sundown helping them practice their sports—whether as a goalie, catcher, or whatever role they needed that day.
Lee made it a priority to connect with those he loved, always putting his family above all else. He was a steady and dependable presence, known for his quiet wisdom and willingness to guide others. Nephews and younger family members often found themselves by his side, tinkering on cars while receiving advice and direction that would stay with them for years.
A lifelong passion of Lee’s was cars. He proudly owned a 1967 RT Dodge Coronet since the age of 15—a car many jokingly referred to as his “mistress,” as it was the only thing he loved longer than his beloved wife of 38 years, Sharon.
LeRoy is survived by: his wife, Sharon K. Tanner; children, Sarah (Michael) Underwood and Kris (Brittany Ball) Tanner; grandchildren, Johnathon (Octavia) Maraz, Jordan Howard, Dominic Tanner and Peyton Tanner; siblings, Dave (Sharron) Tanner, Dan (Linda) Tanner, Sally (Randy) Phillips, Carrie (Jim) Anderson, Becky(Gary) Buchner, Sandy (Tim) Riggs, and Fred Tanner; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
LeRoy was preceded by: his parents, LeRoy Sr. and Frieda (Fessenden) Tanner; daughter, Holly Tanner; niece, Lindsey Buchner; and sister-in-law, Debbie Tanner.
