Mrs. L. Jeannette Wilson, age 94, of Mears, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Sunday, June 12, 2022. She was born April 27, 1928, in Sutton’s Bay, Michigan, the daughter of Oscar Bendickson and Elma (Hock) Bendickson-Nelson.

Jeannette was a God fearing woman and a good wife and mother.  In her earlier years she had a foster care home for elderly women. She loved the fact that she could work and still stay home with her family.  She spoiled us all with homemade pie, bread, doughnuts and home cooked meals we still dream of.  My brother and I are still trying to make meals like “mom did it.” She taught us to respect our elders and to always be kind. I cannot begin to tell you how much she will be missed by her children and grandchildren.  She has waited a long time to see her heavenly family again.  Give them all a hug momma, the rest of us are right behind you!

Jeannette is survived by; her children, LuAnn Wilson- Mitteer, David (Brenda) Wilson; daughter-in-laws Eileen Wilson (Bob Perry), Ana Wilson (Kevin Greiner); grandchildren Derrek (Michelle) Wilson, Amanda (Joey) Lewandowski, Justin (Katie) Wilson, Mary Anne (Eric Vanderlaan) Mitteer, Bruce (Hannah) Mitteer II, Erica Wilson, Danae Wilson, Gina (David) Williams, Amy (Serrano) Ponce and several great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Avery (Carol) Wilson.

Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Bendickson, Elma Bendickson-Nelson, step father, Victor Nelson; husband, Lewis A Wilson, sons Ronald A Wilson and Dennis W Wilson and special family friend, James Dean.

Due to concerns of COVID-19, a graveside service will be held at 11 am, Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Mears Cemetery, 6188 W. Fox Road, Mears MI 49436.
