Kay Lynn (Campbell) Aebig Obituary

Kay Lynn Aebig, 68, of Shelby, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024, after a 15-year battle with Alzheimer’s.  She was born October 30, 1955 in Hart, the daughter of Charles and Virginia (Bursley) Campbell.


Kay worked as an EMT Specialist for the Oceana County Ambulance for over 22 years, retiring in 2009. She also worked at Lake Shore Hospital.  Kay married Scott Aebig in 2002 in Shelby.


Kay is survived by:  her husband, Scott; mother, Virginia; children, Mindy (Jeff) Berridge, Nathan (Heather) Munoz, David Munoz, Alison (Chum) Skiera and Adam (Amity) Aebig; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marge (Dan) Rockwell, Joanne (Bebe) Trevino and Mary Campbell.


Kay was preceded in death by:  her father, Charles; sister, Linda Campbell; brothers, Charles Campbell Jr. and Shawn Campbell.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, Monday, May 6, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home, 267 North Michigan Avenue, Shelby, Michigan, 49455, with pastor Dr. Vaughn Thurston-Cox officiating,  a luncheon to follow at Shelby Methodist Church, 68 East Third Street, Shelby, Michigan 49455.  Visitation will be held from 5 pm until 7 pm, Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mennonite Cemetery, Shelby
