Mrs. Kathleen "Kathy" Ellen Tufts, 73, of Shelby, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born January 15, 1949 in Muskegon, the daughter of Lyman and Viola (Snyder) Cole.

Kathy married William "Bill" Tufts, on July 9, 1969.  Kathy and Bill enjoyed over 53 years together and were able to visit many places in Europe.  Kathy was employed at Lakeshore Hospital for over 22 years as a nurses aid.  

Kathy is survived by her: loving husband Bill; children, Ann (Roy) Alltop, Tracy Tufts; grandchildren, Katie (Levi) Visger, Roy Alltop, Isiah (Grace) Tufts; great-grandchildren, Christian, Emma, and Elizabeth Thomas, Charlie and Odin Visger; brothers, Charles Cole and Kip (Diane) Cole.

Kathy was preceded in death by her: parents; and son, Todd Tufts.

Per the family's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.

The Harris Funeral Home, in Shelby, is in charge of arrangements.
