Julia Clements-Harper Obituary

Julia Ann Clements-Harper, 33, of Montague, passed away, Wednesday, September 28, 2022. She was born January 30, 1989, daughter of Donald and Rita Clements.

Although Julia was not the eldest, she was without a doubt her family’s matriarch. Strong willed and kindhearted, Julia would do anything for anyone. She was dependable and the first to offer help whenever anyone needed anything. She was the most generous and supportive wife, daughter, sister, aunt, neighbor, friend, and momma to her fur babies. She was a deeply passionate advocate of human rights and equality. An animal and nature lover, Julia lived a life full of intention and purpose. As the proud owner, operator, and talented jewelry artist behind Harments, Julia empowered others through symbols of strength, courage, and love. If she wasn’t lecturing her family on how to be better people, she was laughing with them about how to survive a zombie apocalypse or debating whether or not Marvel or DC was more superior. Many of the community members will remember Julia as the incredibly stunning, sassy, intelligent woman behind the counter at The Corner House of Gifts in Whitehall. She loved spending her time gardening, decorating, enjoying nature walks, bonfires, off roading, canning vegetables, and tinkering with endless new hobbies. But most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved Nathan, the love of her life. No matter what she was doing, she wanted to be doing it with Nathan by her side.

Julia is survived by: her husband, Nathan Harper; her parents; father-in-law, Richard (Cindy) Harper; siblings, James Huls, Kristina (Jason) Alger, Malina Adler (Clements), Ryan (Mariah) Clements, Sarah Puff (McClellan); sister-in-law, Lacey (Chris) Kitsmiller; nieces and nephews, Asher (Kaylynn) Alger, Olivia Alger, Jason Alger Jr., Charlotte (Charlie) Clements, Ellie Johnson, Landon Kitsmiller, Lyla Puff, Scooter (JW), and Victoria Duncan; Her world, her actual #1 soulmate, Chessabelle (cat), her spirit animal, Tyler (dog), Boston (dog), Mia (dog); Chickens, Lucy, Jack, Theo, Oliver, Ratchet, and Charles; Numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and community members.

Julia was preceded in death by: grandparents, Larry and Julia Glenda Huls, and Floyd and Thelma Clements; and mother-in-law, Sherri Harper.

Celebration of Life will take place from 1 PM – 5PM, Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Montague VFW Post #3256, 9370 Walsh Rd, Montague, MI 49437.
