Juanita Evelyn Dunn, 91, of Montague, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024. She was born March 28, 1932, the daughter of Guy and Delila (Tillottson) Rought.   

Juanita enjoyed the simple things in life, such as walking her beloved dog, crocheting, and sewing. She especially loved canning and teaching her children and grandchildren how to can.

Juanita is survived by: her children, Robert (Kay) Dunn, Evelyn Woodward, Jane (Dan) Cargill, William (Cindy) Dunn, Tony (Nancy) Dunn, and Rodney (Tina) Dunn; son-in-law, Dan Kludy; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; exchange student, Kitty Ott; brothers, Jerry Rought and Merle (Jean) Rought; sister, Shirley Christenson; sister-in-law, Gill Rought; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Juanita was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert; daughter, Julia Kludy; son-in-law, Steve Woodward; grandson, Curtis Dunn; parents, Guy and Delila; brothers, LeVirn (Jean) Rought, Ken (Lois) Rought, and Don Rought; sisters, Wanda (David “Jack”) Burmeister, Cleo (Gerald) Meyette, Norreen (Irvin) Meyette, Joann (Glenn) Aebig, and June (Ivin) Drake; brother-in-law, William Christenson; and sister-in-law, Ellen Rought.  

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 19, 2024, at The Harris Funeral Home, 267 North Michigan Ave, Shelby, MI 49455, with Pastor Gary Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM, Friday, until the time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the spring.
