Mr. Joseph "Joe" Charles McGhan, 73, passed away August 22, 2022. He was born August 27, 1948, in Shelby, the son of Ray and Evelyn (Page) McGhan.

Joe and his brother Jay owned and operated a house moving and construction business for many years.  He then went on to own and operate McGhan's Towing for over 30 years.  He enjoyed mechanics, hot rods, and being in the great outdoors.  In his later years he enjoyed visiting friends in Alabama.

Joe is survived by his: brother, Robert McGhan of Shelby, Jay (Sharon) McGhan of Hart, and John McGhan of Hart; eight nieces and nephews and their families; and his special friends, John and Lynn McMillian of Alabama.

Joe was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Wayne McGhan and Richard McGhan; and nephew, Jason McGhan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 29, 2022, at the Hart Wesleyan Church, 3757 West Polk Road, Hart, Michigan 49420, with Pastor David Gray officiating.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Sunday, August 28, 2022, at the Harris Funeral Home, 267 North Michigan Avenue, Shelby. Michigan 49455, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Hart Cemetery.
