Jeffrey "Jeff" Raynor Vanderweele Obituary

Jeffrey “Jeff” Raynor Vanderweele, 73, of Rothbury, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 3, 2023. Jeff was born April 26, 1950 in Muskegon, to Glenn and Gloria (Snyder) Vanderweele.


Jeff lived and worked in the Muskegon area his whole life and loved spending time with his family. He spent 4 years in the United States Marine Corp, during which he served in the Vietnam War. Jeff owned and operated JR Vanderweele Construction for more than 30 years. He enjoyed meeting new customers and was able to form many lifelong connections and friendships with them over the years. Jeff was a loyal friend, a mentor and a kind soul to all. 


In later years, Jeff loved to spend his free time in the Upper Peninsula, riding motorcycles and eating pizza at The Pizza Factory in Shelby, MI. He will be greatly missed!


Jeff is survived by his children, Heather (Kevin) Poulin, Elly Ward, and Nick (Kara) Vanderweele; five grandchildren, Mazy, Kaila, Carson, Cayden and Abram; brother James (Deborah) Vanderweele, and sister Mary (Waid) Fox.
 
Jeff was preceded in death by: his parents, Glenn and Gloria; brother, Glenn Vanderweele.


A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
