Jeffrey Donn Streeter, 69, of Hesperia, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Tuesday, May 30, 2023. He was born April 4, 1954, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Donald and Velda (Bearss) Streeter.
Jeff was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from North Central High School in 1972. Jeff then traveled to West Michigan that summer for a vacation, where he met his former wife and mother of his daughters, Debra Burmeister. They married in 1973 and settled in Shelby. He started working at Howmet in 1974 and retired after 42 years in 2016. Debra and Jeff welcomed their first daughter, Alicia in 1975, second daughter, Amanda in 1980, Rachel in 1982, and their last daughter, Emily in 1984. They then welcomed grandchildren Madelyn Emily Streeter in 2000 and Jeorge Luis Guardiola in 2003.
Jeff met Diana Buchner in 2005 and they settled in Hesperia. They enjoyed going on cruises and day trips throughout Michigan, especially to Arcadia; also sharing a special love for the Little Point Sable Lighthouse. Jeff and Diana married in 2021, where he was blessed with the additions of Diane’s Family.
Jeff was a family man, hard worker, and enjoyed many hobbies. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, gardening, Nascar, yard sales, flea markets, grilling out, and golfing with special friends, Ed, Don, Roger, and special uncle, Buster who he is playing a round with now in Heaven.
Jeff took pride in helping the ones he loved. He was a jokester who would go out of his way to make people laugh. Jeff will be greatly missed.
Jeffrey is survived by: his wife, Diana Streeter; daughters, Alicia (Sara) Streeter, Amanda Streeter, and Rachel (Jeff) Schultz; step-daughters, Andrea (Matt) Fleser and Melissa (David) Macomber; grandchildren, Madelyn (Gavin) Smith, Jeorge Guardiola, Lexi Schultz, and Molli Schultz; step-grandchildren, Haley Rollf, Makenna Rollf, Eli Rollf, David Junior Macomber, Chelbi Macomber, Isabel Fleser, and Jacob Fleser; great-grandchildren; Rocky and Damon; sister, Amy (Mark) Ellsworth; sisters-in-law, Debby Streeter, Betty Rangel, Belinda (Allan) Wittkamp, Frances Lewis, Eva Lopez, Sharon Burmeister, and Sara Streeter; brothers-in-law, Jesse Rangel, Rene Rangel, and Dale (Janise) Burmeister, Gary (Pat) Burmeister; former spouse, Debra Burmeister; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by: his parents, Donald and Velda Streeter; daughter, Emily Ann Streeter; mothers-in-law, Frances Burmeister and Liliana Rangel; brothers, David Streeter and Larry Streeter; brother-in-law, John Rangel; and special uncle, Gordon “Buster Boo” Burmeister.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Harris Funeral Home, 267 North Michigan Avenue, Shelby, MI 49455, with Pastor Ken Vanderlaan officiating with a luncheon to follow at The Sundance Saloon & Grill, 5900 S. Water Rd, Rothbury, MI 49452. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, June 2, 2023, at the Harris Funeral Home and Saturday, from 10:00 AM until time of services.
