Jean Irene Hintz, 83, long time resident of Almont, MI and Portage, MI went home to be with Jesus on 
April 19, 2022. Jean was born August 13, 1938 near Utica, MI, to Howard and Nettie (Karr) Bliemeister. 
She grew up with her beloved sister, Joann. She completed confirmation at Trinity Lutheran Church in 
Utica and graduated from Utica High School. Jean married Albert C. Hintz on October 3, 1959, sharing 43
years of marriage until his death in February of 2002.

Albert and Jean passed along their Christian values to their children and grandchildren. These values 
included faith in Jesus, service to church, raising virtuous children, faithfulness and generosity.

Jean enjoyed family gatherings, singing in the church choir, giving and receiving flowers, watching her 
grandchildren grow, and her job as church secretary at Grace Lutheran Church, Romeo, MI.

Jean is survived by her children Dennis (Debbie Young-Hintz) Hintz, Daniel (Laura) Hintz, and Donna 
(Michael) Linders; grandchildren Nathan Hintz, Zachary (Whitney) Hintz, Kevin Hintz, Brian (Kristynn) 
Hintz, Chelsea, Kylie, and Jeremy Linders; and great grandson, Ryder Hintz. She was preceded in death 
by her husband, her parents, her sister and brother-in-law (Albert Ignasiak), and her daughter-in-law 
Debra (Odor) Hintz.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Ferguson Cemetery, 7728 Tubspring Rd, Almont, MI 48003.

In lieu of flowers the family requests those planning expressions of sympathy to consider a donation to 
St. Michael Lutheran Church, Portage, MI. Cards may be sent c/o Dennis Hintz, 3893 E. Harrison Road,
