Mrs. Janice Arlene Ervay, 62, of Shelby, passed away Wednesday, October 19. 2022.  She was born January 28, 1960, in Hart, the daughter of Robert and Clione (Guerne) Carr.

Janice loved gathering with friends and family to craft, tell stories and make new memories.  She loved spending time at the pool side watching her kids, grandkids, and great grandchild's mischievous antics.  Janice loved traveling throughout the United States with her family.  She was the family coordinator, making sure that everyone’s special days were celebrated.  Janice provided daycare for hundreds of children throughout her 37 year career as a daycare provider.  She delighted in caring for the children that came into her business, she was the healer of ouchies, the soother of tears, the leader of games and the maker of homemade goodies for the children while their parents worked.  Janice also worked for multiple years during tax time at H&R Block, assisting people with filing taxes.

Janice is survived by: her loving husband of 42 years, Steve; her children Amy (Ken) Johnson; Greg (Stephanie) Ervay, Scott (Katie) Ervay, Amanda Ervay; 11 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sisters Toni (Dave) Mckinstry, Sally (Randy) Storms and Jody (Gary) Stratton; multiple nieces and nephews.

Janice was preceded in death by: her father, Robert Carr Sr; and her brothers Robert Carr Jr., Rodney Carr and Vernon Carr.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11am, Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Elbridge Community Church, 2370 N. 136th Avenue, Hart, Michigan 49420.  The family will receive friends from 10am until the time of services at Elbridge Community Church, Saturday, October 29, 2022.  A luncheon will follow the service. Interment will be in Elbridge Township Cemetery, 2200 N 136th Ave, Hart, Michigan 49420.
