Janet Elaine (Samuels) Herring, 83, went to join her husband, Wendell, on October 2, 2024. She was born April 14, 1941, the daughter of Theodore and Francis (Porter) Samuels.

Janet is survived by: her children, Eric Herring, Lori (Herring) Florshinger, and Warren Herring; grandchildren, David Florshinger, Noah Griffin and Amelia Griffin.

In accordance with Janet’s wishes, private services and interment will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4081 Cascade Rd SE Suite 400, Grand Rapids, MI 49546, in Janet’s memory.

Harris Funeral Home, in Shelby, is in charge of arrangements.
