Dana Frederick Judson, 65, of Montague, passed away January 24, 2026. He was born August, 11,1960 in Muskegon, the son of Kenton and June (Schneider) Judson.
Dana was the embodiment of a true friend. He was the eldest son of Kenton and June Judson. He spent most of his childhood in Pellston, Michigan graduating from Pellston High School in 1979. Dana was known for having a good time in his younger years. The Lord got a hold of his heart and he was saved in 1982.
After he was saved Dana moved back to the place of his birth, Montague MI. While living in Montague he lived a full life filled with friends and family. He worked at Krudziel Iron for 20 years. He worked and retired from Howmet Aerospace. He was a staple in the community, volunteering his time at VFW Post 3265 and was an active member of the Whitehall American Legion Post 69.
Dana was an avid outdoors man. He especially enjoyed hunting. He helped 2 generations of nieces and nephews’ bag and tag their first deer. He would continue to assist with many, many deer hunts over the years. He loved to share his knowledge on any subject. Dana was not only an exceptional hunter but also a gear head. His pride and joy was a custom build Harley Davidson motorcycle. He also enjoyed restoring vintage snowmobiles and wood working. Dana could always be found tinkering with something in his garage. When he wasn’t tinkering, he was listening or watching various Detroit sport team’s events. Dana was a lifelong Lion’s fan.
Dana Judson was a kindhearted man who will be greatly missed. To the younger generations, he was THE uncle. He went by many different names, Uncle Dana, Uncle Bum, or just simply Uncle. He was always showing up to sports events, graduations, and other monumental life moments of those he cared about.
This world has lost a great man. May we all strive to emulate the son, the brother, the uncle and the friend that Dana was.
