Betty Cooper Obituary

Betty L. Cooper, age 79, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 16, 2018.  Betty was born March 14, 1939 in Muskegon to Rock Joseph Blanchette and Helen Mae (Stephenson) Blanchette.

She lived in Michigan most of her life but also resided in Tucson, Arizona from 1978 to 1997.  She married Ronald Cooper on November 30, 1957.  They shared an evangelistic ministry for many years.  They formed a band called "Latter Rain" in Michigan and had a ministry in Arizona and a tent ministry in Mexico.

Betty enjoyed crafts and sewing and spending time in her flower garden, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and especially making Thanksgiving and Christmas special.  She was very supportive mother and grandmother.  She had attended Christ The Rock Church in Montague.

Betty is survived by her husband, Ronald; her children, Diana Cooper of Twin Lake, Carrie Malia of Woodinville, Washington, Bradley Cooper of Muskegon and Kim (Brian) Crowder of Shelby; her grandchildren, David Stead, Katherine Waldher (and her husband, Timmy Mitchell), Rachel (Caylen) Staub, Sarah Epplett, Brianna Cooper, Nina Cooper, Levi Cooper, Jennifer (Dave) Jacobs, Christian Cooper, Maegan (Mitch) Moore, Matthew (Kayla) Crowder, Joshua Crowder and Alex Crowder; nineteen great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard (Pat) Blanchette; and sisters Marjorie Harbitz and Rosemary (Bernie) Kersting.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gaspard and Dalina Blanchette, her parents, Rock Joseph Blanchette and Helen (Stephenson) Blanchette, her son, Brian Cooper, granddaughter, Melisa Witt, her brothers, Edward Blanchette and Rock Joseph Blanchette, Jr., and her sisters, Doris Mumper and Nellie Jane Economan.
