Barbara “Barb” Jo Smith, 70, of Shelby, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, April 7, 2025.  She was born January 3, 1955, in Shelby, the daughter of Leo and Lorraine “Joyce” (Vantassel) Titus.

Barb graduated from Shelby High School in 1973. Barb loved her people, scrapbooking, and her grandchildren. She was a collector of Barbie dolls, Beanie Babies, snowmen, and old records.

Barb is survived by: her sons, Eric Lee Smith and Chad Richard Smith; sister, Lori (Douglas) Hartman; niece, Michelle Lin Holt; and grandsons, Henry Richard and Everett Leo Smith. She leaves behind many close friends, and her friendship and kindness will be missed.

Barb was preceded in death by: her parents, Leo and Lorraine Joyce; sisters, Cathy Sue Titus and Linda Lee Holt; brother, James Harold Titus.

A time of sharing and visiting will be held from 10 am until 12 pm, Monday, April 21, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home, 267 North Michigan Avenue, Shelby, Michigan 49455.  A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
