Arnold LeRoy Merrill, 83, of Shelby, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024.  He was born January 16, 1941, in Oceana County, the son of Grover and Florence (Kidner) Merrill.

Arnold married the love of his life, Shirley Feister, on March 26, 1960.  Together they raised six children in a loving, close knit household.  He is lovingly remembered by those who had the pleasure of meeting him. 

Arnold is survived by: his children, Vicki Merrill, Joseph (Kay) Merrill, Curtis Merrill, Matthew (Stephanie) Merrill, Scott (Melissa) Merrill and Nancy (Jeff) McLouth; 23 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.

Arnold was preceded in death by: his parents, Grover and Florence; wife, Shirley; grandson, Daniel Burillo; sisters, Ruth (Bunchie) and Ken Westendorf, Merle (Willie) Lutz, Fernie (Tony) Berwald, Wilma (Clifford) Claycomb; brothers, Grover (Donna) Merrill, Jacob Merrill, and William Merrill.   

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Shelby Road Baptist Church, 4066 W. Shelby Road, Shelby, Michigan 49455, with pastor Robert McNeil officiating.  Visitation will be held from 2 pm until the time of service, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Shelby Road Baptist Church.
