I have lost the friend of a lifetime. Alan and I had such wonderful adventures. In the 1970's I flew down to Ft. Hood, TX (where Alan was stationed in the Army), and then Alan and I took a road trip home to Shelby, MI. And then, a little later in the 70's, we took a road trip to Bar Harbor, Maine (from Shelby to Maine, and back) to visit one of his Army buddies. As you can imagine, we have had LOTS of conversations throughout the years. He will be greatly missed! I'm going to miss those voice mails that started out "This is Alan." RIP dear friend.  Thomas

I was saddened to hear that one of my SHS classmates passed.  Alan was easygoing and kindhearted, just enjoyable to be with in classes and band activities.  It was a privilege to have known him.  You have my deepest sympathy and are in my thoughts and prayers.
