Zella "Anne" Wade, age 86, of Shelby, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019 in Hart.  She was born December 5, 1932 in Ferry Township to John B. and Pearl (Wright) Wade.

Anne was raised in Ferry Township, moved to Shelby at approximately age 10 and attended high school until the tenth grade.  At age 14, she and her mother went to Chicago and received their Nurse's Aide training.  She worked at Shelby Hospital and at the Shelby Bakery and other restaurants in the area and retired from Gray and Company.  She took care of people in Shelby, cleaning houses and taking them to their appointments for many years.  She loved reading and growing flowers.

Anne is survived by her sons, Rodney Scott (Theresa) Dawson and Stephen Paul Roth; brothers, Wayne (Judy) Wade and John F. (Marcella) Wade; sister, Patricia (Rueben) Escareno; six grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Suzanne Roth and son, Brian Dawson.

There will no services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Shelby Area District Library, 189 Maple Street, Shelby, MI  49455 are appreciated.
