Wayne H. Friday, age 89, of Montague, passed away Thursday January 13, 2022.  He was born July 27, 1932 in Shelby to Earl "Bud" and Esther Friday.  Wayne graduated from Montague High School and was raised west of New Era in Claybanks Township.

He married Betty Ramthun on March 29, 1952.  Wayne and Betty moved to Montague in 1981.  He worked for Whitehall Leather and at the same time operated a family dairy farm.  He attended Faith Lutheran Church in Whitehall.  Wayne was a longtime member of the White Lake Eagles and was an avid card player.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Kathi (Wayne) Plaunt, Connie (David) Dodds, Sue (David) Symons and Richard (Debra) Friday; daughter-in-law Carol Tribby; sisters Carol Royalty and Laura Miller; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, son, Robert Friday, sisters, Joyce Griffin and Margaret Tabor.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 19th, 1-2 pm with the funeral service to follow at 2 pm at Faith Lutheran Church in Whitehall.
