Obituary

Todd William Holle, 68, of New Era, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021.  He was born May 17, 1953, in Detroit, the son of Reginald and Marla (Christianson) Holle.


Todd was a dedicated and loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle.  Throughout Western Michigan, he was an adored and highly respected boat man, knowledgeable and skilled in many aspects of the boating industry.  Prior to becoming the owner of Oceana Services Group, Todd was widely known as a service manager at several local marinas. As a highly talented and versatile musician, he played in many local and regional music groups.  Like many top musicians, Todd's love for music was grounded in a rich background and love for church, faith-based music. Possessing a keen intellect and wit, Todd freely shared his Lutheran faith, concern and care for others, and progressive political views to promote peace, justice, and human rights.


Todd is survived by: his wife of 40 years, Jeannine Holle; son, John Holle; mother, Marla Holle; sister, Joan Long (Dennis); nephews, Jacob Long, Jacob Kern, and Glenn Kern.


Todd was preceded in death by: his father, Reginald Holle; father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Mary Kern; brother-in-law, John Kern; nephews, Noah Elhard and Andrew Long.


Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Era, MI.  The family will receive visitors starting at 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM, masks are highly recommended, Rev. Sarah Samuelson officiating.
