Susan E. Gust, age 63, of Montague, passed away Saturday, October 9th, 2021 from medical complications that she battled for many years.  Susan was born October 16, 1957 in Plainwell, Michigan.  She was raised in the Plainwell and Otsego areas.  She graduated from Otsego High School.  Susan married Lester Gust on November 10, 1984.  They moved to North Muskegon in 1985 and settled later in Montague.  She operated a day care for many years.  Susan enjoyed cooking, baking and camping and trips with Lester on their motorcycle.

She is survived by her husband, Lester; her daughters, Charlene Gust and Herberta "Herbie" (Jeffrey) Raschke; grandchildren, Hailee Raschke and Joshua Raschke; her sisters, Terri (Brian) King and Jo Quarry; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Herberta and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lester and Charlotte Gust.

A celebration of Susan's life will be held on Saturday, October 16th at Faith Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 707 East Alice Street in Whitehall. The family will receive visitors from 1 to 5 pm.
