Shirley Louise Merrill, 81, of Shelby, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023.  She was born August 18, 1942, in Oceana County, the daughter of Glen and Edna (Sawdy) Feister.

Shirley married the love of her life, Arnold Merrill, on March 26, 1960.  Together they raised six children in a loving, close knit household.  She is lovingly remembered by those who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Shirley is survived by: her husband, Arnold Merrill; children, Vicki Merrill, Joseph (Kay) Merrill, Curtis Merrill, Matthew (Stephanie) Merrill, Scott (Melissa) Merrill and Nancy (Jeff) McLouth; 23 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Houston, Patricia Rowe, Glenna (Larry) Gustafson.

Shirley was preceded in death by: her parents, Glenn and Edna; sisters, Coral Oomen and Norma Johnson; grandson, Daniel Burillo.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am, Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Shelby Road Baptist Church, 4066 W. Shelby Road, Shelby, Michigan 49455, with pastor Robert McNeil officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am, Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Shelby Road Baptist Church.
