Ruth J. Current, age 81, of Muskegon, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in South Bend, Indiana.  She was born July 1, 1939 in Muskegon to William and Tillie DeMoor.  She married Carl Current on May 3, 1958.  Before her retirement, Ruth was employed as executive secretary at Gerber Products for 28 years.

She is survived by her husband, Carl, daughters, Judy (Jerry) Fisk and Diane Yakes, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Harold Gibbs.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 7th, 6-8 pm.  The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 8th, 2 pm at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby with Pastor Mark Baker officiating.  Interment will be in Mennonite Cemetery.
