Ronald John Boeringa passed away in his home, surrounded by family, on Monday, September 6th, 2021. Ron was born in Grand Rapids on June 17, 1958. He graduated from Shelby High School in 1976. Ron was committed to the church and strong in his faith. He was a dedicated and compassionate husband, father, brother, and friend, and an all-around wonderful human being. Ron loved traveling with his wife, camping with his friends, grilling for his family, and playing with his grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his wife, Katryna Boeringa; his son, Joshua (Vee) Boeringa, and daughters, Sammie (Angel) Tracey and Erin (Jayson) Nicholas; his sisters, Gloria (Allen) Dykstra, Sandi (Rich) Joslyn, and Judi Fleming; his brother Don (Beverly) Boeringa; his grandchildren, Maddie Boeringa, Drew Boeringa, Ellie Nicholas, Alec Nicholas, Subha Boeringa, and Mallika Boeringa; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Chip. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Marjorie Boeringa; his best friend, Ron Pickard; and his dog, Diesel.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 9, from 6-8 PM at Shelby Road Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 10, 11 AM at Shelby Road Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family expense fund are appreciated.
