Roger L. Jacobs, age 74, of Montague, passed away April 27, 2016 in Montague. He was born October 13, 1941 in Montague, the son of Herbert and Elaine (Kroll) Jacobs.

Roger married Mary Mikkelsen on February 24, 1962. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1965. He was a life-long resident of Montague with the exception of his time in the Navy. Roger was employed by Ott Chemical, Sealed Power and he retired from Sun Chemical.

He was a member of Montague United Methodist Church and a life member of the Montague-Whitehall Masonic Lodge #198. Roger's family would like to thank all the friends and relatives for their assistance during his time of illness.

Roger is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughters, Tammy Taylor of Silver Spring, Maryland, Denise (Zach) Merrill of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Denine (Brad) Jelinek of Montague; his grandchildren, Keith Jelinek, Alex Jelinek and Emma Merrill; his brother, Glenn (Ruth) Jacobs of Hart; and his sister, Ruth Ann Jacobs of Montague. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Lloyd Jacobs.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 22nd, from 2-4 pm at the Masonic Lodge, 5425 Dowling Street in Montague.
