Robert L. Trombley, age 88, of Whitehall, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 in Whitehall.  Bob was born October 10, 1932 in Hart.  He married Nancie M. (VanDomelen) on October 17, 1954.

He was raised in Hart and moved to Shelby upon marrying Nancie. They moved to Muskegon Township in the mid 1980's and have resided in Whitehall the past several years.  Bob worked at Pyle Pattern in Muskegon Heights before being laid off.  He drove school bus for a time before becoming  a welder at Consumers Power Company for many years until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Nancie; his children, Eric (Elizabeth) Trombley, Scott (Heather) Trombley and Ken (Carol) Trombley; his grandchildren, Drew Trombley, Reanna Trombley, Savannah (Andrew) Gosselin, Noah (Sydney) Trombley, Caitlyn Trombley, Matthew (Amy) Trombley and Ryan (Treasure) Trombley; several great-grandchildren and his sister, Pat Smock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Leona Trombley, his daughter, Cathy Lynn Trombley and his sister, Floss Ernest.

A  public visitation will be held Thursday, August 12th, 1 pm to 2 pm at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby.  A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shelby.
