Ralph Lloyd Hunter, 71, of Rothbury, passed away unexpectedly. He was born September 5, 1954 in (city of birth), the son of Ralph and Lucille (Kailing) Hunter Sr.

Ralph was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving 4 years as a navy Seabee. He moved to Michigan where he was employed by Whitehall products for 44 years, where he later retired.

Ralph is survived by: his daughters, Rachel (Jake) Hunter, Tammy Josephson, Valarie (Steve) Sheffer; grandchildren, Kristoffer Josephson, Sharon Josephson, Kaylee Sheffer, Kylie Sheffer; sisters, Rita (John) Grossman, Rhonda Hunter; brother, Ronald (Monica) Hunter; many nieces and nephews.

Ralph was preceded in death by: his parents, Ralph and Lucille; wife, Sharon; brothers, Robert Hunter, Richard Hunter; in-laws, Ambrose and Margaret Krzykwa; sister-in-law’s, Jeanne Kauffman and Patricia Pruitt; nephew Ronnie Hunter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home, 267 North Michigan Avenue, Shelby, Michigan 49455, with Reverend Ronald D. Hutchinson presiding. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of services at Harris Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 2419 W, Winston Road, Rothbury, Michigan 49452, with Military Honors. A luncheon will follow at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 300 Winston Road, Rothbury, Michigan 49452.
