Mark Alan
Henrickson Jr
Apr 7, 1983 — Jul 14, 2026
Shelby
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mark "Hondo" Henrickson Jr.
Mark was born on April 7, 1983. Mark passed away on July 14, 2026.
Mark was the life of the party. He sparked conversation with anyone he passed by. He was the light in any room, of every dugout and every ball field he ever played on.
Mark had the brightest, most contagious smile. But he also had a sneaky grin that made you wonder what type of trouble he was getting into.
Mark was always willing to give a helping hand, a few words of encouragement, or a little shove in the right direction. Even to strangers, because Mark didn’t know what a stranger was. He was a friend to all. He was also full of piss and vinegar. He was loud, obnoxious and sassy. He was as stubborn as they come. Mark was a great ball player, football player, and golfer. He also really enjoyed hunting and fishing. We hope everyone remembers how nice he was, we will always love him forever.
Mark was the greatest dad, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will be missed by so many; especially by those whom he loved and who loved him deeply.
He is survived by his children, Kaydence Henrickson and Tucker Henrickson, grandmother Patsy Henrickson, parents Mark (Barb) Henrickson Sr., Carrie (Jim) Anderson, and stepparents Bob (Mandi) Zaverl, sisters Teri Henrickson, Jennifer Larson, Suzanna Larson, Amy (Mark) Londot, and Jennifer Zaverl, brother Daryl (Sarah) Larson, stepsons Michael, Jacob and Joseph Regeczi and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mark was preceded in death by grandparents Howard Henrickson, Leroy and Frieda Tanner, uncle Lee Tanner, aunt Debbie Tanner, cousins Holly Tanner, Lindsey Buchner, and Emily Eitniear, also by his loyal companion, Rebel.
This obituary was presented by the family of Hondo.
Harris Funeral Home, in Shelby, is in charge of arrangements.
