Lola Mae Priese, 91, passed away June 27, 2026. She was born July 6th, 1934, in Muskegon, the daughter of John Frank and Phyllis (Gilliland) Hogston.

A longtime resident of Oceana County, Lola graduated from Shelby High School in 1952, and shortly after married the love of her life, Donald, in 1954.

Lola is survived by: her daughters, Dianne (Leonard) Bratsburg and Donna Hansen; cousin, Ester Moul; grandchildren, Matthew (Mindy) Bratsburg, Shannon Henery, Duane Jr (Anita) Priese, Tony Priese, Kim (Steve) Clark, Andy Priese, and Thomas Hansen; 19 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Lola was preceded in death by her parents, John Frank and Phyllis (Gilliland) Hogston; husband, Donald Priese; son, Duane Priese; granddaughter, Leann Bratburg; son in law, David (Tom) Hansen; brothers, Harold (Florence) Hogston, Norman Hogston, Douglas (Delores) Hogston; and sister, Dorcas (John) Fekken.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Era Bible Church, 5308 S Oceana Dr, New Era, MI 49446.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 6, 2026, at New Era Bible Church, 5308 S. Oceana Drive, New Era, Michigan 49446. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, with interment to follow immediately at New Era Cemetery. Family and friends are especially invited to gather as they celebrate her life on what would have been her birthday. A luncheon will be provided at the church following the interment for a time of fellowship and remembrance.
