Mrs. Lois Jean Wolfe, 81, of Rothbury, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022.  She was born May 2, 1941 in Washington, North Carolina, the daughter of Herman and Lizzie (Daniels) Smith.

Lois enjoyed sewing, doing cross stitch, needle point and other craft projects.  She loved her dogs, Honey and Rocky, and cat Gypsy. Lois missed not being able to work, as she enjoyed visiting with her coworkers everyday.  In her younger days she loved being in the kitchen making meals for her family.

Lois is survived by: her loving companion James Cousineau; children, Patrick Wolfe and Donna (Tommy) Russ; grandchildren, Jordan Russ, Morgan Russ; sisters Linda McMillan and Carolyn Handfinger; and many nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Jimmy Smith.

Per Lois' wishes cremation has taken place, no services are planned at this time.

The Harris Funeral Home, in Shelby, is assisting with arrangements.
