Lois Elaine
Johnson
September 27, 1951 – June 3, 2025
Lois Elaine Johnson, 73, passed away June 3, 2025. She was born September 27, 1951, the daughter of Wesley L. and Laura (Ward) Buchner.
Lois was married to the love of her life, Roger, for 55 wonderful years, and their love story began long before that. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and an unmistakable spirit. She was a proud and devoted grandmother and great-grandmother; her family meant the world to her.
Lois had a deep passion for dancing, especially the lively rhythms of the Polka, and a playful, fiery personality that made her unforgettable. Whether she was collecting one of her many treasures, making bold statements to shock and amuse, or watching her favorite shows like The View and Judge Judy, she brought color and energy to every room she entered. A hard worker, Lois spent years at Steele Case as a general laborer and, in a remarkable show of determination, went on to earn her associate's degree after retirement.
Though opinionated, especially when it came to politics, her heart was enormous, and she never hesitated to help anyone in need.
Lois leaves behind a legacy of strength, sass, and generosity.
Lois is survived by: her husband, Roger Johnson; daughter, Monica (James) McCarver; grandchildren, Jesse Ingalls-Johnson, Alannah Johnson, Danielle McCarver, Lauren McCarver; great grandchild, Willow Johnson; and brothers, Wesley (Ellen) Buchner, Gary (Rebecca) Buchner, Larry (Sandie) Buchner; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by: her parents, Wesley L. and Laura (Ward) Buchner; and son, Aaron Ward Johnson.
