Kyle D. Solesbee, age 93, of Walkerville, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021.  He was born August 22, 1928 in Murphy, North Carolina to John and Vienna (Stevens) Solesbee.

Kyle married Wanda Wright on October 14, 1955.  He was employed as a steel inspector for McClouth Steel in Trenton, Michigan for thirty years.  He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; his children, Donald (Eve) Solesbee, Dinah (Randall) Hogston, Kenneth (Rae Marie) Solesbee and Charles (Marian) Solesbee; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Schaap, Donald (Jen) Solesbee, Nancy (Tim) Teague, Joseph Solesbee, Kimberly (Shawn) Staniszewski, Kyle Solesbee II and Kerstyn Solesbee; and eight great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Creed Solesbee and sisters, Evelyn Mills and Frankie Paul.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 8th, 5-8 pm at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 9th, 3 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Carpenter Cemetery in Leavitt Township followed by a luncheon at Walkerville Wesleyan Church.
