Kathryn T. "Kit" Wackernagel, age 96, of Montague, went to be with her Lord, Jesus on her birthday, October 22, 2021.  Kit was born October 22, 1925 in Muskegon to Floyd and Margaret (Schmiedeknecht) Grover.  Kit and her husband, Robert operated their dairy farm for many years. Robert preceded her in death on February 27, 1994.  She loved Jesus and was a fun loving, hard working lady who loved children and will be remembered as a beautiful mom who made everyone feel special.

She is survived by her children, Bill (Sally) Stewart, Tanya (Roger) Simon, Laura (Phil) Anderson, Daniel (Teresa) Wackernagel, Bruce (Lauren) Wackernagel, JoAnn (Victor) Huls, Robert T. (Kimberly) Wackernagel and Elizabeth (Robert) Meacham; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Besides her husband, Kit was preceded in death by her parents, her infant son, James Peter Wackernagel, her sister, Dorothy Klaus and her brother, Floyd Grover.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 27th, 10-11 am at St. James Lutheran Church in Montague and a memorial service will follow Wednesday at 11 am with Rev John Brooks officiating.  Interment will be in Hubbard Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider the St. James Lutheran Quilting Group for gifts in memory of Kit.
