Juanita Joee Schultz, 97, of Shelby, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023. She was born May 14, 1925, the daughter of Martin and Pearl (Bone) Kattnig.

Juanita's favorite thing to do was quilting, in fact she spent the last 30 years being a part of many quilting groups, winning awards for her art quilts, and especially enjoyed gifting her beautiful quilts to her family and friends.

Juanita is survived by: her children, William Schultz and Freda Allen; grandsons, Dave (Lynn) Allen and Martin Schultz; many great-grandchildren; sister, Mona Yellico; sister-in-law, Nancy (Wayne) Colett; and many nieces and nephews.

Juanita was preceded in death by: her husband, Harold; parents; great-grandson, Lucas Allen; brothers, Martine (Arlene) Kattnig, Paul Katting, and Franklin Kattnig; sister, Katherine (Archie) Westfall; and brother-in-law, Frank Yellico.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the Harris Funeral Home, 267 North Michigan Avenue, Shelby, MI 49455.
