Juan Delgado, Jr., age 81, of Hart, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019 at home.  He was born July 21, 1938 in Austin, Texas, the son of Juan and Asuncion (Garcia) Delgado.  Juan came to Michigan to live in Oceana County in 1959 from Arkansas.  He married Maria Herrera on May 14, 1960.  He was a self-employed over-the-road truck driver for many years before retiring this year.

Juan is survived by his wife, Maria; his children, Susan Page (fiancé Bryan James) of Shelby, Juan Delgado III (Patti) of Mears, Carmen Garcia (Carlos) of Hart and Robert Delgado of Hart; his grandchildren, Derek Zaverl  (Corey),  Vanessa Schattenberg (E.J.) , Christina Delgado, Michael Cruz,  Natalia  Garcia, Carlitos Garcia, Kayla Delgado and Olivia  Root; great-grandchildren, Tyson Schattenberg, Cole Zaverl and Silas Belinger; brothers, Santos Delgado (Consuelo), Jesse Delgado (Virginia), Pedro Delgado (Frances), David Delgado (Cathy) and Frank Delgado; sisters, Margarita Delgado, Rosalinda Rincon (David)  and Amelia Longoria (Guillermo).  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gavino Delgado.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 10th, 6-8 pm at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby with the Rosary recited at 7 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Wednesday, September 11th, 1-2 pm at the funeral home with the funeral service following at 2 pm.  Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shelby.
